Advice on all matters of WTO / EAEU Law
Advice on the trade rules laid down in the WTO agreements, the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU Treaty) and other international agreements within the EAEU.
Advice on the stages and procedures of dispute settlement at the WTO and at the Court of the EAEU, assessment of the potential outcome of a dispute based on case law.
Legal support in WTO disputes
Support at all stages of trade disputes: bilateral negotiations, consultations, panel and Appellate Body proceedings, implementation.
Development of legal stance. Preparation of case documents, including written submissions to a panel and the Appellate Body.

Legal support in EAEU Court cases
Support at all stages of EAEU Court proceedings. Development of legal stance. Out-of-court procedures. Drafting of an application and/or an appeal to the Court.
Legal opinion on consistency of WTO Member measures with WTO agreements.
Analysis of measures which are already in effect or are only being suggested/prepared for enactment (laws, by-laws, administrative regulations, their application in practice, actions and omissions of government authorities at both central and regional levels).

Detailed review of SPS Agreement provisions based on the Appellate Body and panel case law. The scope of the SPS Agreement. Scientific justification and risk assessment. Non-discrimination. Least trade restrictiveness of SPS measures. Transparency.
Working with OIE Terrestrial Code. Identification of potential trade measures based on the recommendations of the OIE Code.

As an international trade lawyer, I was involved in different stages of some of the high-profile WTO trade disputes, e.g. Russia — Pigs (DS475) and Russia — Transit (DS512). I developed FSVPS's legal stance on its measures in dispute, participated in consultations with the complainant, panel hearings, implementation of panel and Appellate Body reports.

Supported the training course WTO Accession and Its Implications for Agriculture in CIS Countries.
United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Geneva
Took part in the regular meetings of the WTO Committee on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS Committee). I responded on behalf of the Russian Federation to trade concerns of WTO Members in relation to FSVPS's measures, made statements relating to measures of other WTO Members.
Participated in bilateral negotiations at the WTO with delegations of other WTO Members on SPS issues, in negotiations with the European Commission in Brussels.
Trained officers and employees of FSVPS's headquarters and regional offices in the content of the WTO SPS Agreement.
Provided other legal support on matters of WTO / EAEU / EU / Russia SPS law.
Conducted research of individual countries' national laws and regulatory frameworks governing the production of and trade in certain agricultural products.
Drafted legal memoranda and prepared other client deliverables.
