Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (FSVPS), Moscow
As an international trade lawyer, I was involved in different stages of some of the high-profile WTO trade disputes, e.g. Russia — Pigs (DS475) and Russia — Transit (DS512). I developed FSVPS's legal stance on its measures in dispute, participated in consultations with the complainant, panel hearings, implementation of panel and Appellate Body reports.
Took part in the regular meetings of the WTO Committee on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS Committee). I responded on behalf of the Russian Federation to trade concerns of WTO Members in relation to FSVPS's measures, made statements relating to measures of other WTO Members.
Participated in bilateral negotiations at the WTO with delegations of other WTO Members on SPS issues, in negotiations with the European Commission in Brussels.
Trained officers and employees of FSVPS's headquarters and regional offices in the content of the WTO SPS Agreement.
Provided other legal support on matters of WTO / EAEU / EU / Russia SPS law.
